SPEC'S CHARITABLE GOLF TOURNAMENT

Spec’s is a founding sponsor of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston.

Once a year, we put on a huge golf tournament with the Hilton College Wine and Spirits Program as our beneficiary. More than 430 golfers representing a wide range of beverage companies participate in the tournament every year. The event also provides the student volunteers the opportunity to serve as ambassadors for the College and network with beverage professionals at the post-tournament reception. Through this event, we have been instrumental in funding multiple scholarships for the future leaders of the hospitality industry and we’ve even been able to establish an endowed professorship in the Beverage Management program.

The Spec’s golf tournament is the largest charity golf tournament in the Houston area and is the Spec’s Charitable Foundation’s principle method of fundraising.

Established in 1969 by one of the most iconic names in the hospitality industry, Conrad N. Hilton, Conrad N. Their students benefit from world-class facilities – including our upscale teaching hotel, the Hilton University of Houston; a state-of-the-art wine-tasting lab; a student-run restaurant, Barron’s; and Cougar Grounds, the student-managed coffee shop – and from the skilled instruction of their experienced, award-winning faculty.
