VINTAGE VIRTUOSO IS GOING VIRTUAL THIS YEAR!

There’s no denying that 2020 has brought significant changes in the way we live our lives. Businesses (those that are allowed to be open) are learning to adapt to the rules and regulations that keep their staff and their customers safe. People are working from home and limiting their social contact and going to crowd activities, whether it be a football game, a wedding or a church service, just isn’t being done. Vintage Virtuoso is one more event that will not happen.
At least, not in the usual way. This year you can save your money on a tux or an uber by NOT joining us (in person) on Wednesday, December 2nd. Instead, spend the entire evening the way you choose to spend it. Make a quiet dinner at home with family, spend date night with your significant other, or throw a small Vintage Virtuoso SPONSORSHIP party with your closest friends. As an alternative to our usual gala, we invite you to watch Vintage Virtuoso and our private Houston Symphony concert on YouTube at your convenience any time between Wednesday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 5th.
Our Virtual fundraiser will actually be a monetary boost for the arts and education organizations whose efforts we support financially, including the Houston Symphony, The University of North Texas School of Music, and the Galveston-Houston Diocese Schools.
Why? Because this year we don’t have to pay for the location, food, decorations and other expenses that drive up overhead costs for an in-person event. While, admittedly, we would prefer to see everyone dressed up and ready to party, the real focus of Vintage Virtuoso has always been to raise money.
Vintage Virtuoso Virtual will have stunning performances from members of the Houston Symphony as well as musicians from UNT. We’ll be there, of course, to act as your host. With your purchase of a table or seat, you and your guests will be given an email link to the YouTube presentation of Vintage Virtuoso.
If you purchase a Platinum or Gold Sponsorship, you and each of your guests will be given access to 6 Livestream concerts from the Houston Symphony. With a purchase of a Silver or Bronze Sponsorship, each person can choose 4 Livestream concerts. Livestream concerts include the Classical Series, the POPS Series, or the BBVA Family Series. Mix and match to watch from the comfort of your home.
So, although Vintage Virtuoso is different this year, we need you more than ever. Our gifted Houston Symphony members as well as the students in all the schools need and deserve our support.
Regards,
John, Lindy & Lisa Rydman
