Spec’s Charitable Foundation Annual Fundraising Events benefit Texas Charities!

As a tribute to our founders, we created the Spec’s Charitable Foundation, specifically for education purposes.

Spec’s is a founding sponsor of the University of Houston Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Once a year, a huge golf tournament is held, with the Hilton School Wine and Spirits Institute as our beneficiary. We have been instrumental in many scholarships and even an endowed professorship in the Beverage Management program.

In our continued effort to support our employees and their families, Spec’s has partnered with the Catholic Diocese of Galveston and Houston to provide for the education of our employees’ children.

We are also proud to have a full scholarship to the University of North Texas. To date, we have had more than 100 students take part in our educational opportunities.

As a tribute to our second-generation owners and their love of music, Spec’s is also a lifetime underwriter of the famous One O’Clock Lab Band at UNT.

The Foundation’s largest fundraising event is Vintage Virtuoso, which benefits the Houston Symphony’s educational programs. Over the past 13 years, more than $2 million has been raised to bring music education to the children of Houston.
